MeetPaw is an open-source macOS menu-bar app that runs entirely on your Mac. The short version: your data never leaves your device, the developer never sees it, and you can add or remove any account at any time.
What MeetPaw accesses
With your explicit consent through sign-in, and only for the accounts you add, MeetPaw uses provider permissions to:
- Create instant and scheduled meetings on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, including the title, date, time, and any guests you enter.
- Read your upcoming calendar meetings so you can join them from the menu bar and so MeetPaw can warn you about scheduling conflicts.
- Edit or delete meetings that you created through MeetPaw.
You can connect several accounts per provider; each is authorized separately, and you choose which ones to add.
What MeetPaw stores
- Account tokens — your access and refresh tokens for each connected account are stored locally in your Mac's Keychain.
- App preferences — lightweight settings (such as which accounts you've added and your default provider) are stored locally in macOS user defaults.
- Meeting and calendar data — held only in memory while the app runs, to show your list and detect conflicts. It is never written to disk by MeetPaw.
Notifications
If you allow it, MeetPaw schedules local notifications on your Mac to remind you 15 minutes before a meeting. These are generated and delivered entirely on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.
What MeetPaw does not do
- No data is sent to the developer or any third-party server — MeetPaw talks only to Google, Zoom, and Microsoft, directly from your Mac.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no cookies.
- No selling or sharing of any data.
You're in control of your accounts
You decide which accounts MeetPaw can use, and you can change your mind whenever you like:
- Add an account anytime — connect a Google, Zoom, or Microsoft account only when you choose to, and only the ones you add are ever touched.
- Remove an account anytime — removing an account (or signing out) immediately deletes that account's tokens from your Keychain, and MeetPaw stops accessing it. Nothing about it is retained, because nothing was ever stored off your device.
- Revoke from the provider — you can also cut off access from your provider's own security settings: Google, Zoom, or Microsoft.
Because your data never leaves your Mac, removing MeetPaw or an account is all it takes to fully stop any access.
Your rights (GDPR & similar)
Because MeetPaw holds no data on any server, most data-protection requests are satisfied on your own device or with the providers directly. See the GDPR & your data rights page for details.
